Lenovo using "security" to discourage people from buying used laptops

Lenovo has been caught injecting malware in thier laptops via preinstalling on the laptop's HDD or SSD as well as embedding it into the UEFI BIOS several times.
Yet, they are now discouraging people from purchasing used/refurb laptops in the name of "security" and scaremongering people into not making a concious deciscion that's easier on the environment and their wallets!
